Lesbian Bar Project Title Animation

I first had the opportunity to work with the folks at the Lesbian Bar Project in 2020, during the launch of their first short form documentary about US lesbian bars disappearing. The directors approached me with neon text they wanted to bring to life in an animated title and end call-to-action card.

I recently joined forces with the LBP team again to update the title for use in their hour-long 2024 documentary The Lesbian Bar Project: FLINTA which explores FLINTA (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-Binary, Trans, Agender) communities in Cologne and Berlin.

The flickering title animation is a simple homage to the neon signage common in bars and a reminder of the fragile nature of our community spaces.
